Smart Docklands is a collaborative initiative that aims to transform Dublin's Docklands area into a world-class smart city district. It leverages the existing digital infrastructure, innovation ecosystem and local community to co-create and test new solutions for urban challenges.

 The Docklands area faces multiple challenges such as traffic congestion, air pollution, flooding, waste management, social inclusion and digital divide.

Solution

Smart Docklands engages with various stakeholders such as residents, businesses, researchers, government agencies and technology companies to identify, design and implement innovative projects that address the local needs and challenges. Some of the projects include smart mobility, smart environment, smart buildings, smart inclusion and smart governance.
