Kerry County Council

Ireland

About us

Located in the Southern Region and with a population of 156,458 people, the county is known for its scenic landscapes, such as the MacGillycuddy's Reeks mountains, the Dingle, Iveragh and Beara peninsulas, and the Blasket and Skellig islands.

Sustainable Mobility Focus: One of the best practices that the county has done in sustainability and urbanism is the development of a low-carbon district heating network in Tralee, which uses biomass and solar energy to provide heat and hot water to homes and businesses.
